Exit Event Love!

We’ve been huge fans of Exit Event for some time now (it was love at the first free Mystery…), but I’ve been doubly impressed with the direction the site has been taking post-acquisition.  The content is fantastic, and the site is absolutely succeeding in bringing the ecosystem closer together.

So this explains why we were so excited to be included in Exit Event’s list of triangle startups that Dave McClure should invest in.  We’re excited to be on Exit Event’s radar, and were honored to be included in the list.  Now, to work on the check from Dave…

Ubuntu Updates

A quick update for our Linux users.  First, Freedom and Anti-Social are compatible with 14.04.  We’ll now focus on maintaining compatibility for 12.04, 13, and 14.04, dropping support for previous versions.

80Pct selected as NC IDEA semi-finalist

We’re honored to join an incredible bunch of companies as a semi-finalist for the Spring 2014 NC IDEA grant cycle.

The NC IDEA program is a truly unique, amazing opportunity for North Carolina companies.  The program funds a number of companies: “up to $50,000 per recipient (to) support business plan research and development, reduce the risk of early failure and advance projects to the point of suitability for angel or venture capital investment.”

We look forward to continuing with the process.

The Surprising Strategy One Man Used to Eliminate Procrastination

The other day I received an email from James Clear.  He’s in Chapel Hill, would I like to chat.  I responded in the affirmative and we sat down for a fantastic, wide-ranging discussion about productivity, behavior, and technology.

I was floored (in the best way) to read James’ article, which featured some of our discussion.  It is a great analysis of what make software like Freedom work; I’ll be referring people to this piece for a long time to come.
